Selected Memories is a collection of photographs of seemingly unimportant objects sourced within a creative institution. The objects, taken at night, free of the noise, agitation and activity of the day, act as a cure to the distractions, falsities and noise of life by transcending what the object represents; Through an awareness of the moment and appreciation of time.
These abandoned and insignificant objects reflect indications of people and events. Propelled into the dualistic isolation, silence and stillness of night. They mirror the attempts of those who inhabit the institution to creatively record life. Giving the by-product of creation, the accidental and practical, importance and value.
